Does God Still Speak Today?
Yes, God still speaks today — through His Word, through the Holy Spirit, through community, and through the still, small voice that Elijah heard. He is not silent; sometimes we just need to learn how to listen.
What Scripture Says
"After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice."
1 Kings 19:12"My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me."
John 10:27"In the past God spoke to our fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,"
Hebrews 1:1"but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe."
Hebrews 1:2Going Deeper
God has spoken most clearly through Jesus, and His Word is living and active today. But He also speaks in the quiet — in the still, small voice that Elijah heard after the earthquake and fire. Jesus says His sheep know His voice. Learning to hear God is often about slowing down, getting quiet, and paying attention to what Scripture, prayer, and community are saying together.
