What Does the Bible Say About Healing?
The Bible presents God as a healer — of bodies, hearts, and spirits. From the Old Testament to the ministry of Jesus, scripture reveals a God who is deeply moved by human suffering and actively works to restore what is broken.
What Scripture Says
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3"He said, 'If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His eyes, and pay attention to His commands and keep all His statutes, then I will not bring on you any of the diseases I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.'"
Exodus 15:26"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5"Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise."
Jeremiah 17:14"He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit."
Psalm 107:20Going Deeper

Whether your need is physical, emotional, or spiritual, God identifies Himself as the One who heals — and He invites you to bring your brokenness to Him without shame.
