The short answer

Scripture presents God as unchanging in His nature — the same God who healed in biblical times is the same God who is present with you now. His compassion for those who suffer has not diminished.

What Scripture Says

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

Hebrews 13:8

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits —"

Psalm 103:2

"who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases,"

Psalm 103:3

"Because I, the LORD, do not change, the descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed."

Malachi 3:6

"Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord."

James 5:14

Scripture affirms that God's character does not change — He is still the healer, still compassionate, still present. Even when the answer looks different than expected, His care for you remains the same.
