Scripture for Emotional Healing
Emotional wounds can run deeper than physical ones, but God sees them all. He promises to heal the brokenhearted and bind up wounds that no one else can see.
What Scripture Says
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:18"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;"
Isaiah 61:1"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God."
Psalm 42:11"And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away."
Revelation 21:4Going Deeper
Emotional healing often takes longer than we expect, and the wounds can reopen when we least anticipate it. But God is patient with your healing. He binds up your wounds with the tenderness of someone who truly sees you. You do not have to pretend to be fine. He meets you exactly where you are.
