The short answer

Jesus does not pretend that suffering is easy or that it will not come. But He promises His presence in the middle of it, and He Himself walked through the deepest suffering so that you would never walk through yours alone.

What Scripture Says

"I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!"

Matthew 11:28

"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 53:5

"Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;"

Romans 5:3

"perseverance, character; and character, hope."

Romans 5:4
