The short answer

Family conflict can be uniquely painful because it strikes at the people closest to your heart. Scripture calls us to pursue peace, extend grace, and trust God to work in relationships we cannot control.

What Scripture Says

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

Romans 12:18

"Bear with one another and forgive each other if any of you has a grievance. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

Colossians 3:13

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Proverbs 15:1

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."

Ephesians 4:2

"Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me."

Psalm 27:10
