What Is a Prayer for Strength to Keep Going?
When your strength is gone, you can ask God for His. Scripture promises that He gives power to the weary and that His strength is made perfect in your weakness — you do not have to keep going alone.
What Scripture Says
"He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak."
Isaiah 40:29"But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me."
2 Corinthians 12:9"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble."
Psalm 46:1Going Deeper
Asking God for strength is not a sign of weakness — it is exactly what He designed prayer for. He gives power specifically to the faint, not to those who already have it figured out. The beautiful paradox of faith is that His power is made perfect in your weakness. So bring Him your exhaustion, your empty tank, your barely-holding-on — and let His strength become yours.
