What Is a Good Bible Verse for Worry?
Matthew 6:27 reminds us that worry cannot add a single hour to our lives. Jesus invites us to look at how God faithfully provides for all of creation — and trust that He will provide for us too.
What Scripture Says
"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Matthew 6:27"Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns — and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Matthew 6:26"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble."
Psalm 46:1"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10Going Deeper
Jesus addresses worry not with a lecture, but with a gentle question: has worrying ever actually helped you? He then points to the birds and the flowers — creatures that neither plan nor stress, yet are provided for completely. If God cares for them so tenderly, how much more will He care for you, who He made in His own image?
